A NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS OF ST. NINIAN’S
The Lord has been impressing upon me the importance of our times together in worship. These are times when we spend time in His active presence. I want to encourage you to come a few minutes early before 8:45 and 10:45 to prepare yourself, so that you are ready to hear from our Lord God. I have been reading the scriptures about the need to turn our lives completely over to Him and be in a posture of waiting and listening. Worship at St. Ninians according to NCD survey is very important. Let us all press into God and see what God will do in our mist.
GEOFFREY OLARA is doing well with his local church and his foster family. He has an opportunity to be a part of two mission trips over the next 8 months. The first one is coming up in August in Mexico and the other one is in the Dominican Republic during the March break. As is normal he is expected to raise funds for his trip and for the project that he will be helping with in these countries. We thought that some members of St. Ninian Church might be interested in contributing to these mission trips. If you are please contact George Toner (905-420-4443).
ST. NINIAN’S DAY
In honour of St. Ninian’s Day and as part of the continuing 50th Anniversary celebrations, there will be a pot luck lunch on Sunday, September 12th following the second service. Contributions of finger foods, salads and desserts are greatly appreciated. If you are interested in assisting with setting up tables and chairs, setting out food and/or clean up, please speak with Lesley Byfield after the service or at 416-421-6652.
TOUR FOR KIDS
This year once again, Patrick will be riding on the Tour for Kids epic four-day bike ride from August 19-22; this year, I will be dedicating my ride towards Baby Kayla. I will be collecting pledges towards my ride. The proceeds of these funds go towards kids living with cancer. It is always touching hearing of various children’s battle with this dreadful disease. Please give generously towards this worthy cause.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE
The Insurance Consultant recommended that our organization prepare a written Disaster / Recovery / Business Continuity plan which could be used in the event of a major interruption to assist in the swift return to normal activities. Would you be interested in joining and or heading up the Disaster / Recovery Plan Team?
The responsibilities of this team would be, to formulate and prepare a written plan to be used following any major incident on site. The plan should be clear and comprehensive, identifying the roles and responsibilities of each team member in the event of an incident, as well as contact names and telephone numbers of organizations and the emergency services that may need to be contacted. In addition, the plan should specify where members would meet, how to proceed in the event of a catastrophic loss and how this would be communicated to members. Arrangements in writing should be made ahead of time with another facility regarding the use of their premises by your membership. The team should meet at regular intervals and the plan should be reviewed and updated at least annually.
If you would like to be a part of this team, please call John Yuill at 416-449-4174.
