| Purpose: | To pray with others in the Body of Christ for specific concerns & needs of people known to us, or people unknown to us. The Co-ordinator helps to make sure there is an organized system for passing prayer concerns down the prayer chains. |

- must have a desire to pray for the concerns of others and to support the Body and others in this way

- mentor training if necessary
- Co-ordinator may have the occasional meeting with the Prayer Ministry Team Leader
- no meetings for members. If any concerns, questions or clarifications needed, it can usually be done by phone
- it varies greatly depending on the number of prayer requests, and whether people on the chain are at home and able to pass on the prayer request
Co-ordinator:
- writes up a report for the Vestry book
- updates the lists at least annually
- passes on the prayer requests to each of the prayer chains for members to pray for the requests
- if major prayer concerns, she may call others not on the prayer chains for more prayer
- follow up regarding prayer requests
- encourage person to speak with the Incumbent re: giving a testimony in church of the answer to prayer
- responsible for calling the next person in their chain so more people are praying
- prays as soon as they receive the request
- comply with all policies governing confidentiality
- be a vital part of the prayer ministry even if you have limited time
- prayer can take place anywhere
